See, I want to tell you all about it, but the thing is that a Sufjan Stevens concert can't be explained; it can only be experienced. So my recommendation is that you go find one and attend it, and then you'll understand.

Until then, you can look at my pictures and videos from Friday and get an idea of what it's all about.

Well, I guess I can tell you a little more. I can really only say a little though. It was quite an experience, and so entertaining. I didn't at all know what to expect going in, and what we got was this crazy spectacle. It wasn't spectacular in a glam over-the-top Vegas kind of way; it was just goofy and not too serious, and in Sufjan's case, visibly self-conscious as well. He was adorable, and it was just amazing to hear him hitting those high notes...also, his glockenspiel player looks exactly like Erica Durance, AKA young Lois Lane from my favorite WB show Smallville. During a silence some guy screamed out "Lois!" and I was like, "I was totally thinking that the whole time!"

Anyway, a really fine show and I'm glad I got to go with [info]hobbitgrrl. We've spent many an hour waiting at concerts together this year...and there's still time for more. :P

Argh, I mean "where" of course, not "here," which is nonsensical in this context. :P
